Potato Wreath with Mushroom and thyme

prep time 15 minutes, cooking time 20 minutes

 

Golden potato and mushroom wreaths baked to crispy perfection, adorned with fresh thyme  ideal for holiday appetizer

Ingredients:

  • 3 medium golden  potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 6 mushrooms , sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt and pepper, to taste     

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare the potato slices: Toss the potato slices in olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Shape the wreaths: On a parchment-lined baking sheet, overlap potato slices in circular wreath shapes. Press gently to ensure they stick together.
  4. Bake the wreaths: Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy around the edges.
  5. Add 1 tbsp olive oil in heated  skillet and fry mushroom slices 1 minutes on each side
  6. Once potatoes baked, transfer the wreaths to a serving platter, top them with mushroom slices and garnish with additional fresh herbs for a festive touch. Serve with  dip of your choice
